Amazing from the looks, but does not work for me. I have Firefox 2. Is that the reason?
This is a top 5 all-time script by the way.

I haven't tried it, but most likely yes.

Two requests:
Would you add an option to filter by team?
Also, a specific checkbox for pitch?
Greatly appreciate your hard work Pabst.

I'll add pitches next time I mess with it. I'll try removing teams but I'm not really sure how well that will work.

Pitches are in, but teams still have issues, so those will have to wait.

Really like this tool, but the player filter does not work for me.
Using FF 3.0.3.
Edit: It works for my CB, but not for my WR.

Edit: It works for my CB, but not for my WR. | Ooops, minor screw up. on line 215 you'll find this "i<data.length-1". Get rid of the "-1". See if that helps.

I dont have linecount on my wordpad. Any suggestions for a better program to edit in?
Anyway, i found this: (var i=2; i<data.length-1; i=i+2). Deleted the -1, but no luck.
Still cant find my WR...

Go to your GLB homepage. Click Tools->Page Info->Security->View Cookies
You'll have a cookie called "glb-greasemonkey: player list". See if all of your players are listed correctly.
What other scripts are you running on your home page?
|

All players have the right ID.
Other scripts on the homepage:

Tried to flush the cache and have eaten all cookies.
It did not help
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Go to line 541 of the script and replace your result line with this one (copy it, don't write it by hand): | Code: | | result = result && (p.play.replace(" "," ").indexOf(str.value.replace(" "," ")) != -1); |
The problem is your player's name on the home page is not the same as his name on the play-by-play. His play-by-play name has 2 spaces between the first and last names while his usual name only has 1 space. I don't know what you did or why it's like that, but I take pleasure in the fact that it's definitely not my fault

As i wrote before my wordpad does not have linecount, so its kind of hard to find line 541.
Do you have any recommendations for a better texteditor?
I tried to do a search for the "result = result", but got 2 hits. Since i dont want to mess anything up, i did not copy any of them.
I have to say that i dont know why my players name has that issue. I guess that means that he is unique

Found one myself: notepad++.
Seems like a nice little toy.
And found the line. Changed it, and presto: now it works
Pabst, once again i thank you for your scripts and for the help you provide!

Is there any way to make it filter all plays when a certain player is on the field? The reason this is useful is it would help show how effective the "General" special abilities are when that player is on the field. This seems like the best way to measure that.

Nope. I can only tell a player is on the field by the result of the play. If he doesn't throw a pass, make a tackle, or something, then whether a particular player is on the field is anyone's guess.

Thx for this script first off! Second, wanted to ask a request or maybe the code to add it myself.
Can you add a section to the filter that allows you to sort by minimum and maximum gain? For instance: (pic for easy explanation)

Is this possible?

Better late than never: this should be possible. I'll give it a go in a bit.

Should work now. I didn't do it with the greater than/less than symbols though. It's done the same way as the togo filter. If you want more than 10 yards, set minimum to 10. Less than 10, set maximum to 10. Doesn't seem to work with penalties though, so I'll have to fix that.

I ran into another problemThis may just be me, but in the last row It reads:
Strings: Players |style="overflow:hidden|, and then there is a down arrow, but it's not showing anything. This started after the latest updates. Is anyone else getting this?

Try this:
Tools->Page Info->More->View Cookies
Scroll down to goallineblitz.com
There's a cookie called "glb-greasemonkey: player list"
Delete it and reload your glb homepage.
That should reset the cookie and hopefully fix the problem.

Ok, I did what you said and didn't see the cookie in there. I figured that perhaps there was the problem. So I uninstalled the script and re-installed it, closed the browser down completely, restarted it and reloaded GLB. Checked, and there was the script. I went to a play by play and it worked perfectly. Thanks for the help.

It is filtering out too much for me. Like for this last game if I select play type "pass" (and only that nothing else is checked) it only shows 17 of 34 of our pass plays and 13 of 23 of the opponents.
If I select "rush" every rushing play play shows for both teams though.

This one.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=294494
This is what it lists when I select pass plays only.

If I just type in "pass" in the generic box it lists all the pass plays.

Oops. It's a misplaced comma I fixed in November and never uploaded. Don't ask me how no one noticed that one.

ThanksThanks. I feel special as that was only the first time I actually used it to filter by play types. I have only had it for about a week and only used it to filter to my players.
