Updated Excel Spreadsheet for player builds

This spreadsheet will now pull a team's entire roster and then pull player stats. Note if you can not see player builds due to them being closed to your account it will fill with zeros. So this is a good tool to check for opponents open builds quickly as well as track your own teams builds. quickly. Also for tracking your team. I am currently adding a function to copy to both current row and goal row whereas the first time you run it on your team (Gm'd or Owned) then you can run in the future and see where players are putting their SP's. Instructions are on the spreadsheet itself.

I will come back and post the spreadsheet once I add the add to goals functionality.

2003 version seems to work for me, fwiw.
cheech1223

not sure why, i have the 2007 version and its not working.  the macros runs, but both sheets remain completely blank.

I have tried keeping the hyperlink's display name as the url and as the team name, still nothing.
ddcunderground

make sure you are linking to the roster page if it is looking anywhere else it won't work.
Cohen Domination

How do you run a macro in excel 2007?
ddcunderground

it is under the developer tab
Cohen Domination

Says no link in cell a1, even though it is there, I am looged in and everything.
ddcunderground

make sure link is in cell a1 on the first sheet of the workbook. and make sure that if you right click on the cell and click edit hyprlink that the hyperlink is correct if it says add hyperlink then select that and add the link to the resulting window for the roster page you are looking for.
Cohen Domination

Ok, so now it isn't saying add hyperlink anymore, whenever I click run macro it does its thing, but then nothing shows up. I have no clue what is going on, I am logged into firefox if that means anything for this. Maybe I'm just too dumb to use it.
ddcunderground

you are not too dumb it is the stinking link between microsoft excel will actually force IE to start. So what is happening is the script is trying to go hit the roster page and it is ending up at the login screen for GLB. Therefore no information is being pulled. It is a bummer but you actually have to login to GLB from internet explorer to get excel to work.
Cohen Domination

Ok, so now the story is I am logged into internet explorer and it still is pulling a blank, and I have the url set right, don't know what the problem is.
ddcunderground

can you send a screen shot of the first page of the spreadsheet and a screenshot of the link page or the edit hyperlink page.
Cohen Domination

I just give it, I'll just look at builds, not that hard.
arman8489

It keeps saying that i must be on IE and must be logged into GLB, but i already am logged in to GLB from IE. What could i be doing wrong?
ddcunderground

it will prompt everytime it is run it should continue to function after you hit ok
ken-in-rockwall

Thank You  !!! This is great !!
cadrys

it took a couple of retries, but 2007 eventually figured out that I had everything right.  Thanks for this excellent tool!

Well I believe I am doing everything correctly, pasting and editing the hyper link and running the buildstats and etc.  I am in IE and pasting the roster link.  it gives me all the calculating windows and scrolls thru the speadsheet, and when its done, both pages are still blank.  I saw in a earlier post that it takes a few times, just wondering how many? and Im running vista, if that matters.
ddcunderground

I know we had some problems with vista before does anyone have it working on vista
beaverstubble

I tried again tonight, and nothing, but works like a charm on another pc using xp.  is there any way of copying the info in a excel that is opened in vista or something.  I guess it would be almost too easy wouldn't it.  LOL
ken-in-rockwall

I just downloaded the 2007 version. Logged into GLB via IE and it ran with no problems on Vista.

Has anyone had problems since Bort's changes to the UI?

Mine won't load up correctly anymore.
GoatLocker

Trying to use this with 2003.
Get the link in.
IE is open.
And I get the following Error everytime

Microsoft Visual Basics
Out of memory

Any thoughts.

Does anyone know if this is being updated?
